4×4 by Four

This is what we started with:

Here’s my progress in my sketch book

B – my progress with my squares

My inspiration for this challenge is a photograph I took recently from one of my local daily walks.
Here are my four 4×4 inch fabric squares for the challenge

First I cut my fabric squares into sixteen 2×2 inch squares and laminated them and added a few hand stitches to each
I tightly wrapped several wires with black yarn, each wrapped wire was then put through my sewing machine with a zigzag stitch to bind and cover the wires with further texture.  These were then manipulated and woven together to form my 3D twig structure.
The laminated squares were then suspended and stitched between the wires to complete the transparency of my landscape seen through the spring hedgerow
